It’s not the most beginner-friendly due to the lack of manual, but for experienced pilots, that shouldn’t be a dealbreaker. Other drawbacks include the lack of GPS and slightly lower power compared to the Seeker3. However, it’s one of the cheapest options while still delivering very respectable freestyle performance with an excellent factory tune. The included accessories are generous and support a wide range of FPV setups.

The HGLRC Rekon35 V2 is a bold experiment—a drone built entirely around 18650 Li-ion. HGLRC clearly invested a lot of effort into the design. This is the most well-thought-out Li-ion-only FPV drone I’ve tested so far. GPS Rescue works well, the quad is efficient, quiet, smooth, and cleverly engineered. Out of the box, a 5 km round trip is entirely possible, which is impressive. The Rekon35 V2 is not perfect, but it’s genuinely interesting. And in a hobby full of look-alike drones, that alone is refreshing.

I was initially a bit put off by the “old school” design. It felt like Happymodel didn’t put much effort into updating the Mobula8. But after flying it, I kind of understand their approach — they’re simply recycling a platform that already works well. And honestly, the Mobula8 flies well. It’s smooth, agile, quiet, and fun. Paired with the O4 and the wide-angle lens, it becomes a really solid combo. It might not look flashy, but you won’t be disappointed by how it performs in the air. If you want a micro whoop with DJI O4, this is definitely among the better options in terms of flight performance.
