Oppo has officially introduced its newest entry-level wireless earbudsthe Oppo Enco Air 5. Released initially in the Chinese market, this model aims to expand the company’s cost-effective accessory lineup. It is priced at an affordable 199 yuan (approximately $29 USD), targeting budget-conscious consumers looking for high-end features at a competitive price point.
The primary selling point of the Enco Air 5 is its extensive battery life and strong audio performance. The earbuds deliver a total of 54 hours of playback when used with the charging case. On a single charge, each earbud provides up to 13 hours of continuous playback with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) turned off. When ANC is activated, the playback time drops to 6.5 hourswith a total case-supported battery life of 27 hours. Additionally, a quick charge feature provides up to 4 hours of audio use from a brief 10-minute charge.
For audio quality, the device is equipped with 12mm dynamic drivers engineered to produce deeper bass responses. The ultra-wideband active noise cancellation operates across a 5,000Hz frequency range and can reduce external sound by up to 52 decibels. The earbuds also utilize Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity and feature a dedicated low-latency gaming mode that reduces audio delay to 47 milliseconds. Other hardware integrations include an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, in-ear detectionintuitive touch controlsand multipoint dual-device pairing.
Furthermore, Oppo has integrated artificial intelligence capabilities into the accessory, including an AI-powered call noise reduction algorithm and a real-time translation feature supporting 24 languages. In terms of availability for the United States marketOppo does not maintain an official first-party retail presence for its audio accessories in the US. Consequently, American consumers interested in purchasing the Enco Air 5 will need to rely on international e-commerce platforms and third-party electronics importers to acquire the device.
